I bought the pickguard as a replacement part for my Squier Chris Aiken P-Bass, because I didn't like the original mirror pickguard.
Quality: In the store the Pickguard seemed to fit perfectly on the bass. (I placed the pickguard over the original one and all screw holes seemed to fit nicely).
But as soon as I took the original PG of, I noticed that two screw holes didn?t fit with the new one. Well I think it was just a production mistake, because the difference between the holes was just marginal. After some rasping on the new Harley Benton Pickguard, the problem was solved.
Optic: The pickguard just looks like the one from the big Company, but just costs a fraction of the ?original one?. And the something like a protection foil on it, what is very nice, especially when you work on the pickguard.
Conclusion: If you trust in your crafting skills, buy the Harley Benton Pickguard. If one or two screws don?t fit perfectly, you can make it fit easily by a little bit rasping.
