Cheap enough, but not good for percussion
Silverwake 17.07.2017
I bought the Thomann CM-10 metronome, so the drummer in my band had some support on keeping the tempo while recording drums. I was looking for the cheapest option, as he wouldn?t buy it himself and, considering that I?m pretty broke and I wanted to spend as little as possible, specially not knowing if it would even help with the task or if my drummer would agree to use it consistently (I don?t know why drummers are so reluctant to use metronomes), this seemed the perfect option. Well, I was wrong.

Price wise, it is as cheap as it gets. 6 euro won?t hurt any pocket that much. Unfortunately, I didn?t realize that this metronome has no headphone output, so it?s pretty much useless for the purpose I brought it for. That?s on me, anyways, as I should have checked the specs before ordering it.

I can see, though, that this may be useful for a number of other uses: practicing guitar or any other acoustic instrument at home. You can use it with electric guitar or bass too, but you?ll need to keep the amp volume quite low, as the beeps from this aren?t the most powerful. Certainly not loud enough to practice with percussion.

On the other hand, it does have a red flashing led, which may help keeping you on track as a visual aid. The display is not the best and it?s not retro illuminated, so better for using in a well illuminated room. The controls are simple enough, and the clip-on feature is good to place it in a number of places.

Overall, I would only recommend this for some specific uses, and if you only can spend 6 euros, not a single euro more. Otherwise, I would really recommend go for something else. There are other metronomes that feature a lot more functionalities, like different time signatures, memory, backlight displays, headphone output and even tuner for 3 or 4 more euros. I wish I knew when I was placing my order.

I bought this a long time ago. It is a metronome and it works. It is cheap and it feels cheap. The bleep I find somewhat weak and low in terms of volume so it doesn't work for moderately loud applications, besides this, the bleep is a bit more annoying than it ought to be--and working with metronome is already annoying enough.

A bit old fashioned
LNVG 16.03.2020
The metronome works fine, but the features are limited. Within a year it was broken and the soft rubber knobs didn't work well anymore. And I didn't use it that much...

PL
Metronome with basic features
Pjotr L. 22.05.2019
Decent quality, slightly flimsy clip, but it does it's job well. Tap tempo button or the headphones output are missing, but, I guess, in this form-factor it's not possible. Anyhow, this unit keeps the tempo and is more than enough for practicing.

Keeps time!
Anonymous 20.03.2017
I use this when practising. It sits clipped onto my music stand. The battery lasts ages- but it is a button type.
It's got lots of rhythm settings and I haven't come across any limitations yet. It has a slightly high pitched sound but it makes it easy to hear over my bass tones and you can set the volume. Great value.

first clip on metronome
Anonymous 25.02.2017
Never had a clip on metronome before, it is interesting but I ended up using it as a normal desktop metronome which I find easier to handle.

the metronome itself is easy to use and has many features included. a very good product and i would recommend specially with this price

price/quality is superb
Anonymous 24.03.2016
For this price it's very good value. The fact you can clip it to your guitar neck is a surplus. It can do nearly everything that metronomes twice or thrice as expensive can do. The volume can be changed. More than enough rhythm/tempo options (yet no 5/4, but this is easily overcome by choosing 4/4 with every beat having the same equal sound). Good product!

Very useful accessory for drumming
Carlos781 28.11.2014
This metronome surprised me a lot in a very positive way. Very versatile, you don't need to concern about a place where to place it due to its clip. You can also choose the volume of the sound, so you can practice with sound and without sound. You can use also the feature for the several rhythms and notes possibility per interval, for me was very useful mostly working with the double pedal. I could follow the beating with the snare and hi-hat, and the notes with the double pedal. I highly recommend it.

Great idea, ok construction.
Spoobler 02.06.2014
This is a very versatile little metronome, given it's price and size. Being able to switch between compound and single time is brilliant, as well as having a volume, tempo and time signature control. Only thing that lets it down for me is that the spring clip fell apart quickly and the battery door won't lock any more. Nothing a little bit of tape can't fix and at the price, nothing to complain about.
