OUTSTANDING!
Anonymous 05.10.2016
Don't just think about getting this, BUY THIS!!!!

To start with, I'll give a bit of info that is probably vital for most people, but for some reason does not appear in the product description. The padding. Each layer is aprox 12mm thick. That's on each layer of the case, including the middle layer...not in total. Most other bags I've seen offer you around 8-12mm in total (4-6mm each layer). The good stuff doesn't stop there either!

For the price you're paying, this case is simply outstanding value for money. The handles are great quality and will not come off, as are the adjustable shoulder straps. The cross-stitching is of a very high standard, and the carry handles are held on with metal studs/rivets so again, no worries there.

I was looking for a bag to initially protect my guitars from dust and sunlight in the house, as well as doubling up as a gig bag. This fits the bill perfectly.

Pro's: Mega padding; high quality stitching; very well made; very sturdy double ended zippers; showerproof material (may actually even be fully waterproof...admin, feel free to amend if I'm wrong on either front); massive amounts of storage (I reckon I could fit my line 6 pod V2 and it's power pack in as well as all my cables, straps, sheet music and still have room left).

Cons: None.

I spent ages searching for this exact type of bag, but was really disappointed to see most at much higher prices. I couldn't believe my luck when I found this one, as it was within my price range. I admit to being put off slightly by the delivery charge, but in all honesty, you're underpaying Thomann for the bag anyway, so don't let that put you off. Also, on that topic, the extra money is very worthwhile, as it takes no time at all to come. I ordered mine late one Wednesday evening, with an anticipated 4 working day delivery, and it arrived on the Monday morning. You can't say fairer than that for 10e. All in I paid £42 including delivery, and I am more than happy with the outcome!

In this price shelf no competition! Everything stitched decently, nothing comes apart. zippers solid. Very many pockets. In the top pocket 5B drumsticks unfortunately fits "on the slant".

Perfect soft case to load 2 T-type, single or double cut electric guitar. Lots of pockets to hold every accessories. The foaming makes a good protection for the guitars. It also has foaming between the 2 guitar slots. The weight is a bit heavy.
The only downside is that I noticed that it doesn't fit with semihollow ES type guitars (I tried with Gibson Midtown and Epiphone Dot)

Why even consider a single guitar gigbag when you can have double?
t1bby 26.09.2021
2 guitars - standard 6 string and a 26,5 scale 7 string.
3 normal sized pedals, power supply and patch cables.
Some sheet music, guitar tools and extra strings.
3 pairs of guitar cables, one for you and two for whoever forgot to bring their own.
A bunch of snacks and a bottle of water.

I could fit all this and still have some room left for some random stuff. What else is there to say. It has decent padding for a gigbag, the zippers seem to be good quality and it doesn't feel like it's about to rip apart with 2 guitars inside. Extremely happy with it!

This Is The One!

I was pricing double guitar gig bags in the United States for weeks and unless you were willing to spend $100-200 you were going to have to settle:
not enough padding, not enough pockets, etc. This Thomann unit addressed all the compromises in other budget bags and at a great price.

First, the two guitar compartments are big enough to handle an extended length instrument like an offset. The exterior itself is made of a tough fabric that would be incredibly hard to accidentally slice or cut and the exterior and interior padding is quite thick. The only slight knock on this case is the zippers do not extend completely across the bottom, hence you can't lay if flat and open it like a clamshell. But it's due to a rubber bump pad all across the bottom, so it's actually an overall positive when it comes to protecting your instruments. The best way to access the guitars is to stand it on end in a corner and unzip from top to bottom. One more note: there are no velcro straps or neck pads in the compartments to secure the guitar necks. It's not a big deal to me but may be for some.

Now onto the pockets. This is what really seperates this bag from the rest. The main pocket is conceaed under the flap you see in the pictures. It is big enough to hold a large chromebook, an ipad and a couple of full size notebooks. On the face of this hidden pocket are two more pockets: one small mesh where I keep my picks and capo and a second cylindrical compartment enclosed with a flap.

The big flap on the exterior lower bout has two zippered compartments that can hold cords and other non-bulky items such as harmonicas, small notebooks and the like. Finally there's a second exterior cylindrical compartment on the upper neck with a flap that I'm currently using to hold my guitar strap and a pair of cheater reading glasses. I'm sure it could hold a microphone or something else of similar size.

With so many guitars coming without cases these days, I'll be ordering one of these double gig bags with every future Thomann guitar purchase. It's head and shoulders the best gig bag they offer.

Great for taking two guitars to rehearsal
MarKoot 22.12.2021
I bought it because I needed a single gig bag for two guitars.
It perfectly fits two standard type guitars but. Only downside is that it doesn't fit larger guitars (baritone, bass etc.)

A bit of room for improvement
toomasb 19.10.2018
The bag seems very durable and rugged - it almost stands up on its own, which is great, because it feels weird trying to fold it.

Things it can fit: 2 electric guitars, 2 cables to connect the guitars to a pedal and then an amp, 2 spare cables because the bass player wont buy any, one xlr cable for direct out, tremolo bar, capo, toolkit, laptop, charger, notebook, pen, a light snack and a beer (only one though).
Things it can't fit: my Zoom G5 multieffects pedal. It's 2cm too long. Although if I could fit the pedal, I couldn't fit the laptop.

If you're ever stranded in the wilderness with this bag and are willing to sacrifice one of your guitars, this bag can probably keep your feet warm when sleeping (don't try this though).

The biggest issue with the bag are the straps, which are too close to each other at the top. The straps dig into the back of your neck hard. You'd think the weight would also be a downside, but it's really not that heavy.

M
great value and protection
MarkitZero 25.01.2019
was sick of lugging flight cases to gigs and bought this after reading some good reviews. Its out every weekend protecting my old Les paul and a telecaster ive had since i was a kid and i have complete trust in it. it also has storage for cables, strings and all the stuff that is so easily lost or forgotten when you come to need it.
Strong zips and thick padding means the instruments never budge when in transit.
Would be great if these were configured so the guitarts were upside down when carried though - i'm over 6 foot tall and going through any doorway with this on my back is always a worry. i tend to sling it upside down for the trip from the van to the stage even though its not designed for that.

what can i say? its robust, its well made, it protects my gear and it didnt cosrt anywhere near what it should have! 5 stars.

P
So useful and practical
Peter7875 07.12.2024
I got this so I could easily transport both a standard size electric guitar and a short scale bass guitar in one bag. I needed both instruments to take on a cruise ship, and wanted a strong and practical way to have this on my back, leaving hands free to carry cases and other things. The gig bag is absolutely perfect for this, and with lots of extra pockets I was able to accommodate cables, tuner, folding guitar stand, iPad etc. etc.
Very strongly made, this bag is incredible value for money, and I will be ordering the matching model designed to take an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar. Entirely satisfied!
