Not For Use With A Les Paul!!!
Anonymous 19.11.2016
The overall quality of the case is reasonably good, as are a good few competitors cases at less money. I would not use it for air travel or regular transporting in a groups bandwagon but for travelling in a car on the back seat, as my gigging guitars all do, it is OK.

As to the poor marking of the unit, that is all down to Thomann who have a picture of the case on their product page which appears to show an angled body support pad which is absolutely essential for a Les Paul as without it the full weight of the body is transferred to the neck which is THE weakpoint on a Les Paul. Inside the headstalk cavity there is a support pad for neck which serves no purpose at all as it makes no contact with the neck or headstalk. It is simply glued to the base (rather badly) and my take on this would be that when specified to the manufacturer/supplier the support pad has been put into the wrong cavity and in stead of supporting the body it is supporting nothing at all. Quality control???

In my opinion, although a long time user of Thomann and pleased with all but a few of my purchases, don't risk your guitar, buy one of the other single cut cases that offer the proper support.

Thomann Guitar Case Single Cut Tweed

I have to say the case looked great in the pictures and when it arrived it exceeded all my expectations.

The packaging totally protected the case so it arrived in pristine condition, when I opened the package and took out the case the feel and look just screamed QUALITY.

The catches are a strong and sturdy build so you know there isn't a chance they could become unfastened unless you want them to.

The internal finish holds and supports all the key areas the perfect place to store your pride and joy, the handle is well placed and in a position that offers a balanced feel when you carry it.

The Tweed covering just adds that touch of class so its clear you have something of importance inside.

If you are looking for a case and want Value for Money - Quality and excellent build and service.. don't hesitate ....purchase this case you wont be disappointed.

Finally the ease in buying this case and the VERY quick delivery is an added bonus...

Nice case for the money
SergR 28.10.2019
This guitar case looks fantastic, and overall build quality is rather good. Guitar sits firmly, but it does not lay on the back side of the body, i.e. guitar is resting on the edge of the body and on the neck holder. This might be a concern in case of really inaccurate handling. The slope at the headstock is really useless and does not provide any support. Because of that it is made with fabric, indicated issues might not be so important, because the idea to treat this case in a really violent ways might be not the wisest one.

I'm sending this review 4,5 years after... So it's based on decent usage period.

Case have served well and it's still in very good shape. Good "all-around" product as Telecasters fit too, originally bought it for Les Paul-bodied guitar.

N
Thomann les Paul Style Tweed Guitar Case
Noodles36 29.11.2013
I found the above case to be 100% in every way shape and form ..

Look 100 times better than a cold black plastic hard case ,

Is as every bit as strong as any hard case ive ever used on any of my many guitars over the years .

The way I look at it is " If you by a new bed , you would surely buy nice bed sheets to cover and complement you new bed ? "

The same goes for this case . If you have a nice guitar and are proud of your guitar . why not be a little bit flash and buy the finishing touch and put your baby " Guitar " into a very nice luxury bed every night :-).

I said it before and I will say it again ,, Far to many people are hung up on buying Branded items . Its a hard case ... regardless who its made by ,, its a case to protect your guitar .

two things to remember .....

The important thing is inside the case " your much loved guitar " , The second factor , as I said above , This case is as good as any case ive ever used over the years and Ive had/have many guitars " Its a sickness collection guitars :-) " that's what I tell my wife :-) .

The simple fact is .. ANY guitar case regardless of who or where it was made and what its made of will only stand up to a certain amount of punishment.

If your the type of person who likes/loves there guitars well Im guessing you will also take pride in your guitar and wont kick the guitar from one end of the room to the other " Meaning you will take care/note where your guitar is at all times and try your best to prolong the life of your guitar by placing the guitar in a safe environment "

My point is , This case will stand up to any other branded case " But keep in mind " NO case will stand up to a 200 watt amp falling on it ,,,

Every case has its limits , even the best on the market , . if you neglect your guitar the chances are it will be damaged even if its in a branded hard case that cost 100s of euros .

The above is with in most people range " price wise " . Its as good as any other case , as in provides excellent protection " and it look a hell of a lot nice than plan black plastic ,

I hop the above is of some help to you :-)

The outside looks expensive, the inside looks cheap.
vagdaniels 18.12.2017
The outside of the case looks great and feels strong, steady and it's heavy (for good or bad) but I have some issues with the inside.
1) There is an intense smell of petrol.
2) The inside pad for the headstock support is half glued and doesn't really support anything.
3) My guitar barely fits. I have an LTD EC-407 and at first I thought it wouldn't fit, I had to use force and be very careful while placing it inside and really stretching the lining fittings where the headstock and the bottom strap pin is, and I was worried that the colour from the headstock will fade because of that. Thankfully I don't have to use this case very often.
Other than that the case is good for the price and looks more expensive but probably it's not the right case for an ESP LTD EC.

Fits my Gretsch Jet
Joe from Nowhere 08.02.2019
I was looking for a hard case for my Gretsch G5220 that was more economical than the branded case. After much searching, I happened upon this one, and even with the 30 Euro overseas shipping to the US it was about $75 USD less than the Gretsch case. I was ecstatic to discover that my guitar fits perfectly and will be well protected by this case!

Pretty good imitation of a gibson case, my Les Paul fits perfectly inside, love it ! I would just say it's a shame the handle is made of plastic, then again for the price it's only fair they've used this material.
