Ok, so the positives first. The case is really strong and lightweight and will do a great job of protecting your guitar from impact damage when you are transporting it around.
I have a couple of ABS cases ? I think they were Peavey ones which I bought from Thomann, and they are more or less exactly the same. Thomann don?t do the Peavey ones anymore and as far as I can see this is the replacement for the Peavey one, which is why I bought this.
The Peavey case is built so that the internal compartments for storing your strings, picks, trem arm etc meet the case lid so when it is shut, nothing moves around in the case, which is as it should be. In this case, there must be a gap, as all my stuff falls around inside the case when I carry it. This is not so bad for string packets and plectrums, but the trem arm on my PRS SE which is quite thin, also moves around and so I have ended up with dents and scratches in the top of the guitar which I am obviously unhappy about. Its just as well that it is not a full blown PRS with a 10 top!. I have to wrap the trem arm in a cloth to stop it falling around inside the case when I carry it around.
This is not built to the same standards as the Peavey cases that I have, which were around about the same price. The lid is not such a tight fit when it is closed and consequently the 3 catches which hold the case closed do not always stay in place to keep the lid closed.
This is either poor design or poor quality control ? either way I am not impressed and I would not buy this again.
