Thomann Acoustic-Steel Jumbo Gigbag

I recently purchased a new guitar. I own several guitars and most of them have hard shell cases. I decided that for the short term, I would purchase this gigbag for my new guitar and sort out a hard shell case at a later date as I would be playing the new guitar a lot.

The gigbag. Boy was I surprised. The quality is superb, tough material, not anything like the gigbag that I have for one of my guitars. Thomann?s bag comes with two large pockets to store music, music stand or guitar stand, a handle for carrying or straps for the back pack carry.

As with any gigbag, they will not prevent damage to the guitar, BUT, it is a very handy way to store my guitar, keep dust out of and off of and get to and from a gig.

If your on a budget, this is a MUST have for any guitarists, end of, besides being pleasantly surprised, for the price, you can?t beat it.

I purchased the Thomann Acoustic-Steel Jumbo Gigbag in a set with the guitar Harley Benton HB Custom Line King in 2013. This bag is very well made from waterproof material, sufficiently padded and perfect balanced at the side carrying handle. The use of the two shoulder straps is comfortable and the large zip has two sliders, so it is easy to open the gigbag. A rubbered part on the bottom of the bag helps you to set it upright. You have enough space in the large and small side pockets for music books, reserve strings, picks, capos etc., but attention: you open the side pockets correctly, if the bag is kept horizontal, not vertical! A horizontal carrying handle above the two shoulder straps would be helpful. After a lot of gigs, transports etc. our guitar is in near mint condition. It is really good value for money!

I will start with the size, it is surely Jumbo and as such it has to be robust, but aldough the size of guitar i have just purchased is similar to this gig bag, it gives you more than enough space to put more things in it ( capo, belt, cable, even notebook fits perfectly in 2 pockets you have on it ) without using additional space when you trasport your guitar in your car etc.

Built quality is really I mean reaallyyy good and will keep your guitar safe on a bad weather.
Zipper seems reliable even though i had just bought It. (it wont let you down so fast thats for sure)

I was very scheptical at the start being that this was offered as part of a very advantageous pack with the Epiphone EJ200 that I bought. When I received it, I found that the build quality is realy good, the bag was very sturdy, built with quality waterproof black mesh material. the interior is lined thus making the gigbag perfect for keeping guitar.

On the face of the gigbag there is a very nice compartment to keep away sheet music and also there is a small compartment to keep accesories like picks, capos, extra strings.

Overall impressed withe the build of the bag even if at beginning was not expecting much.
