Harley Benton Guitar Strap 6 BR

I use this strap with my bass guitar, gigging every weekend with my band.

Pros:
1. Price, most affordable strap, cheaper than most products available in local stores.
2. Durability, has survived many gigs. The material is robust and I have great faith in it over the fabric usually used for cheap guitar straps.
3. Break-ability, this strap does not contain any plastic parts, usually the first item to break on a standard strap. For me this is it's biggest selling point. The tie wrap used to secure the neck is very durable and I have great faith this strap will last me through many more gigs, it is truly one of the great Thomann buys available. I would suggest picking up a spare one to have during gigs but only i you havent got a Thomann one already.

Cons
1. The only negative thing I can say about this strap is the comfort. Its very hard to wear the strap bare-chested as the side of the strap cuts into your chest. This is a consequence of the durable material, and is an acceptable trade-off, it is possible to cover the strap with an aftermarket cushion to protect it from chafing yourself.

All in all, I would buy this product again over any other strap.

I had bought a much more expensive Canadian product as a gift for a friend but due to a glitch in the ordering process it was sent to my home rather than his and I 'broke it in' for him for a few weeks; after this it was hard to go back to my synthetic straps and I bought this product just to see the quality discrepancy that less than half the price of the Canadian product would yield.
The HB strap is not as thick or as wide and does require silicone washers to keep it secure on the buttons; but other than that, it's a marked improvement on the synthetic alternatives which sell at the same price.

I bought one of these straps in 2006 and still use it today on my little Martin LX1e, so that's a definite tick in the build quality box!
Nice soft leather (well it is now, was probably a little stiff when new, but it wore in nicely). Well made with no defects, easy to adjust length to suit your playing style.
As always, strongly recommend also buying some strap locks to prevent any accidents.
The strap is very comfortable to wear for a light guitar like mine, but it's not padded, so if you have a heavy guitar or play standing for extended periods you might want to spend the extra and invest on something with more padding.
Otherwise for this price you can't really go wrong, recommended.
