So I've had my case for nearly two years, it not only contains my desk but an interface (Roland Duo) Headphone amp, cables and power all tucked just underneath the desk.
The catches did start to show a bit or wear and tear but for the amount of use it gets that is to be expected.
However the important bit is how well does it do the job of a hard case? the answer is very!
Last weekend while working a family festival rather foolishly left my desk in front of the wheels of my car. and after loading everything else decided to drive away.... straight over my case with my desk and all the extras nestled inside. a little confused to the bump i carried on before running over it with the back wheels for good measure. unsuprisigly the case is totalled splintered cracked buckled and warped but to my surprise, inside its caracas everything has survived without even a scratch all dials attached and straight.
So here i am buying the same case again to replace the flat one, so it can continue to protect my desk after its comrade gave its life to do so.

Mix case
Kostas Saxophone 17.08.2018
Got me this case for my Soundcraft EFX8 mixer.
Has enough space to store power outlets maybe one or two cables under the mixer.
The fitting is ok too. No major displacements of the mixer while on the road.
Cushioning is fair, and the foam on top is working nicely by holding the mixer in its place when in upright position.
Loved the latches in the back, well thought through.
The latches in the front are also good but not very promising.
The handle is nice and comfy for carrying the case.
It maybe could have a shoulder strap as well, would be a nice addition!
When the case arrived one corner cushion was not glued to its position and was just moving around in the case.
Not a good sight for a new case. Quality test didn't see that on its way out.
Overall a good value for money and a fair case that doesn't ruin a tight budget.

Excellent.

One thing i have noticed about cases is that when locked, you feel like you could tug at and bust it open. its just me being paranoid, the the locks on this case alone are fantastic. once locked they do not budge! Brilliant quality case.

Stout little case
RipChord 23.05.2022
I expected a plastic-y kind of thing, what I got was a stout little case that's perfect for carrying my Soundcraft EFX8 around for local gigging. The latch mechanism is self-hooking so there's no flappy little bits to fiddle with, trying and get a good catch. The handle is a chunky, rubber backed thing that speaks of quality. The internal foam is cut perfectly and not too soft. The external construction is rigid and durable. No wonder Thomann proudly stands their logo across one side. I'm off to see if there are similar cases that are gig/cable box sized (55x25x45cm). Throw suitcase rollers and retractable handle on something like that and I think every gigging musician would want one!

Thomann Mix Case 4044I
Christopher871 24.05.2013
I brought this case for the Soundcraft EFX8 mixer. Very good quality and provides a lot of protection to the mixer. The foam inside is good quality padding which is cut to provide a snug fit with the mixer. Locks are sturdy and likely to last a long time. Definately pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone with the Soundcraft mixer.

A good case
Szaki 07.01.2019
I use this case to keep my mixer tidy and to transport it to rehearsals and gigs when needed. Very easy to handle. When i use the mixer, i put it on the top of the case. This is a rather good case, especially for the price. I recommend that if one buys a mixer, consider buying a Thomann case too. This will be considered a good purchase for sure.
