I bought this to protect my 2442 in transit (obviously). It’s a very substantial well padded box that does the job. There is decent sized storage space at the rear in which I keep the power lead and two 15m Pro Snake XLR cables to run to the speakers, and with the mixer in the box there is also some storage space available underneath for odd small items. I keep a bluetooth adaptor and some short connecting cables there.
Just three things to note. Firstly the foam pad at the front is a little too thick and stops the mixer from sitting flush on the side supports on its 19 inch rack rails. Secondly there is no access to the rear of the mixer with it in the case but it is best to remove the mixer anyway to avoid it overheating. Thirdly the lid is on fixed hinges, so I take the mixer out and put on the box when in use.
To conclude, I am happy with the case, and can recommend it as a useful purchase to take good care of your 2442 mixer. With the weight of the case and the mixer you'll get a good workout.

Good case, but probably a bit too big for the X2442USB

This is a good solid case which protects the mixer well, however I believe that it could be quite a bit smaller and still house the X2442USB. There is quite a large space behind the mixer which looks silly just housing my power cable, and this additional compartment means the case itself is probably not far off double the length of the mixer so takes up far more storage space than the mixer alone. BUT at least its well protected!

This case for it's price in particular as part of the bundle deal is unbeatable! however with it's price its not as solid as most 9mm flight cases as expected but can certainly take a beating which mine has in transport over the past few years! highly recommend is as opposed to a more expensive case if you're on a budget or aren't planning on beating the crap out of your kit. fits the X2442 perfectly as if it was made for it ;)
