I'm a lover of those kind of flutes and I own several. I have to say that the thomann (terrè) rhythm flute is perfect for open air music and doesn't need any amplification even if you play with percussionists or drummers.
If you live in an apartment be carefull because the higher harmonics and notes has a lot of sound pressure and could be too much for an indoor environment.
Talking about the quality, I would have prefered to pay a little bit more for a better craftmanship. On 4 flutes out of 5 from my last order, I found a not well built Labium(fipple), which is crucial in tems of controlling the air flow.
Apart from that I can say that for this low price it's hard to find such a powerful instrument anywhere else.
