It's small, it's cheap, it's fun!

It's a fun little instrument to practice with, I might even bring it for a gig. The valves feel really nice. I can't say much about the sound or tone as I'm not really a brass player.
Playing the basic C Major/Minor scale goes just fine, but I find it a bit hard to go above and below that, I need to push a lot more air through it to go higher. I've been told that it's normal for it to be a little harder to play than a regular trumpet. Luckily most music I play is within the C Major/Minor scale range! An added benefit of practicing on this pocket trumpet is that playing a full sized instrument later on feels so much easier in comparison.

Purchased because I'm a woodwind player and all my friends are brass players so I wanted to join the club. Of course I had to get it in black to match my clarinet.

Good as a toy, out of tune
jazzkob 21.08.2020
I bought this so I could take it with me in a suitcase to practice on the go. You have to play it a little harder than a normal trumpet, probably because the pipes are wound twice. It is also horribly out of tune. If you tune for C2 then C1 is high, if you tone for C2 then C1 is low... I cannot for the life of me play the 3rd octave in tune. It just goes low.
Still, it's a good tool if you don't want to loose fitness.
