I live in a very large rainy European city, where only drummers own cars. The rest of us use public transport to go to and from gigs. Drummer takes the amps.
I use the Thomann Voyager to carry my semi-hollow around. I dress it in an old fleece hoodie, before I put in in the bag. When I arrive at the gig, my guitar is still warm, dry, and in tune.
My previous gig bag cost twice as much, and offered excellent protection against bumps and falls ... but not against the elements.
