Great on my Gibson J30
The Fox Man 20.11.2014
These round core strings are just fantastic! They made my Gibson J30 sound magical & it wasn't a bad guitar to begin with!
These strings just take you & your guitar up several levels, in tone, sound & feel, in one leap.
They also last a very long time, no need to buy the poor sounding coated/treated strings made by other manufacturers.
I have used these strings in the past, but they're so expensive in the UK, I only got them as a treat at Christmas, but now thanks to Thomann, they're so much more affordable!
Thanks guys, for giving us great strings at great prices!
Highly Recommended

Best strings so far for my Lakewood M14 CP
Akquarius 19.02.2015
During the last 5 years I have tried at least 10 different sets of strings on my M14 CP, Elixir, Pyramid, D'Addario, C.F.Martin, Ernie Ball, you name them.

With these strings I've finally found the perfect set. The bass is fat, but clear and warm, the mids are prominent, but not too loud, the trebbles are clear and strong, but not sharp.
This makes the whole setup sound perfect.

Restringing is much more comfortable in comparison to most strings, because the strings ends are wound with some kind of textile cord. Here's a big Thank You from my finger tips :-)

Funny enough, I don't like them that much on my Dreizehnter SJ15 which has an Adirondack top. For the cedar/mahogany M14 CP, however, they're perfect.

On my Martin D-28 and D-41, these are always my first choice. Glorious strings that last forever!

Good at first

Good at first, for acoustic, but seemed to go dull quite quickly compared to some other strings I've used on acoustics.

Great round sound, but the D string developed a strange rattle very soon and had took them off.

Oh my god!
Tamas Szoke - the unplugged acoustic guitar 24.12.2023
My favourite strings so far. Bronze strings has way better sound quality than the mostly used 80/20 phosphor-bronze sets. It's recommended to studio use, but no problem to use live.

It's a non coated string, so you can expect a bit higher string noise and relatively fast fading in tone compared to 'industry standard' sets.

The fresh set is clean, good volume and let's the guitar's character to live (unlikely the D'addario XS or Elixir strings what are last long, but they strong character does not fade). Additionally, the almost gold-like colour looks beautiful on any guitar.

With time, both the colour and the tone starts to lost the shining quality, and became mellow, soft sound. Requires regular (daily) cleaning.

Some friends of mine reported the Thomastik strings tend to break - I use their products more than 17 years - not experienced big issues.
