I purchased this along with and to house the Yamaha MG12XU Analogue Mixing desk. First of all, 10 out of 10 again to Thomann on quality packaging and shipping. Everything arrived in perfect condition and I had no issues. It did arrive a couple of days later than expected, but we had a Bank Holiday weekend here in Ireland. So fair enough.
I work mainly as a solo performer with Vocal & Acoustic Guitar. I wanted the ability to raise the desk at an angle so I can monitor what is happening easily while performing. Thomann do have a purpose built case for this desk but it does not have the rack mountability or the ability to raise the desk to an angle.
The quality of the build is good. With 7mm Birch, 4 rubber feet and ball corners. I have 2 minor issues. The first is the raising part of the case is very stiff and required a bit of effort to raise into place. The second are the clasps for holding the lid in place. I can tell over time they will stretch and become less effective.
My overall opinion is a good case at a good price point for my needs. I have owned a few Thon cases now and never had an issue with any of them. You can pick fault with anything at lower price points if you try hard enough. I am trying to be honest to help other buyers. I would recommend this case and would purchase again if the need arose.

Good build quality but rail system is severely flawed
Matt.p 20.02.2022
Overall the case is well built and has a sturdy feeling to it. Unfortunately, the reason I purchased this case was specifically to have a compact case with the ability to use mounted equipment on a slight angle, and there are multiple issues with the mounting rails:
1. There are no included handles to raise or lower the bars, meaning if you use all 12 units in the case then you'll have to improvise a solution (e. g. using string) or jam your fingers down the sides of the rails to grab hold and pull (with great difficulty!) the rails slowly upwards;
2. The rails aren't bound to each other, meaning you can raise one rail independent of the other. Doing so risks bending rack ears on mounted gear.
3. The resistance of the rails when raised is not nearly enough. I use the case to house a modular synthesiser and when patching (banana) cables into modules the rails move several centimetres towards their original position. Ratcheted rails would have been a much better choice in this regard.
