Thon studio rack 20U 38
Anonymous 06.01.2015
I used to make my own racks from wood then carpet them and put my own rack strip in, I found racks were so expensive for what they really are, that is until I saw these on offer from thomann, I cant fault them, I have had them 3 years now and they look as good as they day I bought them, they included loads of rack bolts and washers for installing all your gear so no need to have missing bolts in your rack, I have moved them around a few times as the studio has changed location and they have been sturdy enough to stand up to transit and still look spotless, one of my racks here has around 100kg of equipment in it and it was sturdy to carry and move without removing anything, I could not build a wood version myself and carpet it and put rack strips in for what these have cost me, a lot of effort saved, very happy with them

Not bad at all

It's a bit wobbly and hard to get the bolts into the runners for screwing in the units, but I would still recommend it as nothing close to it in it's price range.

j
Cheap way to build a 5U modular system
julianzi 21.10.2024
Built a 5U modular system around four of these, unbeatable value for the price. Had some heavy-ish rack gear in there as were, an old Akai S900 and some reverb units, held the weight well without flexing even though the side panels are some sort of plastic composite material (not metal)

Die Höhe macht es aus
DocR 23.03.2015
