Thon Rack Drawer 4U

I ordered a number of these for my work station. For the price they are exceptional.
Only problem was one got missed of the delivery, to which Thomann customer services quickly and without hassle sent out in the next couple of days.
And one arrived quite badly crushed (4U) from the top making the lock unusable. These are very thick steel so I don't know how that could happen. None the less the product was still usable and I could not be bothered sending it back so have kept it.

This is excellent for anyone who's got a spare bit of rack space and could do with somewhere to put spare patch cables and miscellaneous gear. The black powdercoated finish is nice and durable and overall it's a nice quality bit of kit. My only problem with this drawer is that it doesn't come with the top handle that some of these drawers come with, which makes it harder to open if you don't have an empty space immediately above the drawer.

I know the description says how heavy it is, but my portable production rack went from being easy to manage to needing a trolley because of this drawer. and the smaller drawers are not that much lighter. I am sure there is a better balance of weight vs. durability

We used this to store mics and cables in a rack and it really did the job. Very easy to install and it made a big difference space wise for us. The only thing that let it down for me was that it became very hard to open after a few weeks. It didn't slide as easy regardless of if it was full or empty! Stock up on some WD40 and you should be ok! Also, though not essential, try leave a 1u space between this a anything else in your rack as if it does stick it's good to be able to get a hand in for extra leverage.

I bought this to add storage to my StudioRTA Producer Station. It does exactly that, and contains various studio nick-nacks keeping my workspace clutter free. I haven't burdened the drawer with substantial weight although it feels sturdy enough to handle much more. The design is simple and functional, and I would recommend this product to anyone seeking 19" rack storage space.

Works very well for storage on my live rack setup, room for all my cables and keyboard pedals. Lockable so I can have a little peace of mind relaxing after playing a show.
