By means of a special notch in the thread which is filled with plastic, these tuning screws no longer loosen themselves and thus guarantee the tuning stability
Tight Screws make it so that that having a tuning screw fall out is a thing of the past

if you own a Ludwig snare drum you know how easily they de-tune. I use these on a supraphonic (lm402) and they work just fine. of course, you will feel more tension on your drum key, so this makes it impossible to use somethinf like an evans torque key. overall, i think if you have a snare drum that de tunes easily, this one can help you solve the problem. but i'd probably prefer the tama lug locks.

Works well and really keeps the head from detuning. I used to adjust the tuning after 10 practice sessions or so, but I haven't had to do that since I got these screws for a couple of months now,
The only downside is that if you like to finger-tighten the bolts, up to a certain degree in order to have a uniform and even starting point, this is no longer possible. But honestly, this is a small price to pay.
It remains to be seen if they lose their effectiveness over time.
