Wow!

Sceptical prior to purchase. Not after buying it! Definitely gives a bit of a richer tone. Can't say it's dramatic, but definitely a noticeable improvement. For the price, that's an absolute bargain. No instructions in the box so loses a star :-)

DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Tried this, and I must admit had my doubts, but it does, to my mind, add 'weight' to the sound. definitely worth a go.

Beefier tone, slower response
Leon Z. 03.04.2019
It's a quality item and it will enlarge the mass at the top of your horn, resulting in a slightly more rounded, beefier tone and slower response. It's quite problematic mounting it to a Yanagisawa AW series alto as the position of the sheet stand mount is not the same as with other saxophones. But with a few slight modifications, I've managed to do it and it does alter the tonality and the instrument slightly... and when you want to fine tune the response and tone of your instrument, a slight change might mean the world to you. If your alto has a thinner, weaker tone to it (and your technique is up to snuff!), this just might do the trick.
