Not as quiet as advertised and the customer support is not good
synchro 19.06.2019
tl;dr
It reduces the noise. Not even close to what's advertised, but reduces. It's too way sensitive, causing some unwanted triggerings even when we lower the sensitivity in the module.

Be aware about this before buying. It works, not exactly as advertised, and it has some trade-offs.

Long version:
I bought it because it was suppose to be quiet, and it's not THAT quiet.

Out of the box, without any modification, it has a high "metal to metal" sound. Once you add a piece of felt between the pedal and the trigger this high pitch sound is reduced, but not eliminated. There was still a clanking noise coming from the unit. This was happening because the area between the trigger and the plate was not flat enough. I sent Triggera a message asking about this clancking sound (which is not shown in their ad videos) and the suggestion was that I should brush the metal myself. I don't even have the tools to do it.

Here is the sound before applying the felt between the trigger and the trigger plate:
another pair of square felt between the trigger and the trigger plate and it helped to reduce the noise:
, as you can see, it still way louder than advertised. I'm really not sure if this specific unit is defective or not. Given the construction complexity and the amount of small "mods" I had to add in order to make it usable, I don't know if I recommend this or not, specially at this price point.

For what this product is, it's very well accomplished, a simple design that does what's required effectively and efficiently. I took a chance on these to replace the need for a new kick drum and I was pleasantly surprised how well the triggers hold up and stay put under heavy performance. Thus far I haven't had a need to make any adjustments which exceeds my electronic kick that at times I had to chase across the floor. The simplicity of design also gives them room for interpretation depending on your specific application. For instance, they can easily be reworked to fit my Trick pedals that have an offset pull and I can probably drill them down if I really wanted to. I also have the freedom to place my pedals anywhere I want since my double kicks are now independent. These triggers deliver a consistent playing experience for half the price of what I thought I'd have to spend. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Great for apartment play
bezza 07.07.2024
This genuainley drops the volume level of the kick by nearly 70% no more complaints. Yes it does take a little bit of getting used to in terms of feel but its not a massive adjustment and if you have a decent enough pedal it still feels relatively realistic

Falsely Advertised
Nik Tackett 28.06.2019
The item came in a very badly damaged box and I am unable to accurately test the product because it does not properly fit my Tama Iron Cobra drum pedals despite the item being described as "Can be used with any single or double pedals".
The trigger greatly reduces the stroke distance (only allows about 30% of the original stroke distance) even at its lowest setting which makes the pedal feel extremely unrealistic to play despite the item being described as "Produces a very realistic playing experience".
Additionally the item produces a loud high pitched sound reminiscent of a metal hammer hitting a piece of metal despite the item being described as "A very quiet kick pad". I even put some felt padding on the impact point and it really did not help much. Also keep in mind that the sound would be quite a bit louder if the stroke distance was able to be the full and natural amount.
I would really love to use these triggers and I would if they did what they are advertised to do but this product is falsely advertised and is not what I committed to buying.
Hope these issues get fixed in V4. Could be a viable product.

Great for your neighbours!
mbrfix 21.11.2019
I am using this trigger with Roland single bass drum pedal with noise eater (RDH-100) and together they form the quietest bundle possible. It is definitely quieter than using low-noise (!) beaters. The feeling is still good and it is really solid as a product. I will definitely buy another trigger when I start practicing a double bass pedal.

No more angry neighbours!
dgloria 22.06.2024
Solved my problem with neighbour complaining about the kick drum stand resonating the whole house structure. Since I use this, they never showed up. I get the full joy of a kick drum, same sound, and can play anytime I like. Bless the person who invented it.
