The Torpedo Captor X is a great product. It allows you to play your tube amps either in complete silence or at manageable volumes, though still saturating the tubes. So you can actually use any tube amp at home with it. It also is a feature-rich thing for a home studio, which allows you to record your playing and simulate different cabinets, as well as providing a raw signal to your DAW without any simulation. However, two out of the two I have bought have software issues. I know how to work them around, but it isn't great when you buy such an expensive piece of gear and find that you also need to spend time fixing its quality issues on your own, or eventually end up sending it back for a replacement. And, perhaps, if you have more amps than just one or more cabinets, perhaps one of the options will also be the OX box, as it also allows for different output resistance.
