A fast, great sounding pick with great control.

This pick truly improved my control, sound and speed.

Compared to the regular V-Picks Screamers, this material is slightly different. It feels a bit more slippery and slightly more durable (not entirely sure if i's more durable as I haven't used it quite as long as my other Screamers)

Upsides:

+Clear, crisp tone

+Pretty loud

+Durable (about 0 scratches after months of playing, also doesn't break)

+Very fast

+Easy, great pinch harmonics

+Great control

+3 tips!

Downsides:

-Though it is durable, the points lose sharpness pretty fast

-Less crisp and loud when sharpness is reduced

-Pretty expensive for such a small piece of plastic. But the investement is well worth it!

a
Mixed feeling. It works but need time to get used
alexlotta 17.10.2022
I was curious to try that brand. That pick is BIG for me , but strangely is comfy for his size .I can see using the pick weight to get easier some solos "zakk wylde" style , when you want to dig in in some strings letting doing that "nerve" strumming in between .Very good balance in hand .
Mixed feeling as i dunno if it convinces me to use it as regular pick.
VERY SHARP points ( 3 of them so more durability ) gets really high screaming pinch harmonics .
Since this pick 3 edge points, lets say is 4xTIMES more costly than a regular pick, so well is reasonable ( though 5€ range would be a better choice and easier to get more to try i.m.o) .
Rest of mileage about , is personal taste

I was skeptical. One pick is more expensive than a set of Jazz III... why? It makes coffee while I playing or what? It is playing instead of me? Ehh, not.
For the first touch it was a bit odd. I'm a Jazz III fan.
The Screamer is much bigger, but lighter than the Jazz, so it has a very different feeling. Feels like a mixture of glass and plastic. Overall, it has a good touch and the grip is very good. So far, no drop .
The sound. I think the difference is very noticeable. The name "Screamer" is quite accurate. Its easier to pick the pitch harmonics and they have a higher pitch. More glassy, crystal-like extra harmonics can be noticed. I not recommend for blues, too bright. Good for metal.
I've been using for a month and I didn't notice any loss in sharpness.

I think it worth the money, I like it. Probably I will buy a few more and try the other shapes what they offer. But so far... the Screamer became my main pick.

Lighter than you think

Thick pick with 3 sharp edges, excellent for galloping and fast picking.
It's made of some sort of light plastic, so it's lighter than I'd imagine for such a thick pick.
It's comfortable to hold but there is no rubberized or textured surface, to improve grip in case you have sweaty hands it'll be slippery.

I've only played a couple of days with it, so I can't attest about durability.

Volume boost from a pick?

I loved these!
Made from good quality acrylic and easy to grip thanks to a clever little indentation. I played for hours when I got them. Loud, articulate and very comfortable to use. They are about 3mm thick, so not for the faint of heart...
The finish on the pearly gates is really nice and I did end up trying a few other plectrums from their range and felt this was my favourite.

On the downside, they are expensive. They are quite large too, especially if you are used to small Jazz IIIs. I also found they performed best when new and sharp. These picks could draw blood, honestly. Not matter how much sanding or filing I did, I could not get them sharp again. They were out pretty quickly, actually. I have went back to Jazz IIIs but keep a couple of these vpicks handy, new and untouched, in case of a shredding emergency.
