This is the product I awaited for long time. My three years old son enjoys when I play the drums and immediately wants to try that, too. Even if I use 5A stick, what is light for my hand - is not light for 3 years old child hand. Here is solution from Vic Firth - Kids drum sticks. The stick is light, solid and fits perfectly in child hand. The length is scaled to adults drum sticks, so child learns good motion technique from the beginning. It was only possible with very thin 2A jazz sticks before. But the length of the stick result in bad motion habits needed to correct later in child's development. That stick is an excellent introduction with a good motion/drumming habit from the day one.
I would be very happy to see neutral wood colored version of it: Blue is attractive but little too flashy.

Fun for super-small drummers
Anonymous 07.01.2017
We recently acquired a Roland Vdrum kit for my elder daughter who was beginning lessons.
Of course her little sister wanted to be in on the action too and, as a small 4 year old, larger sticks were a bit unwieldy for her - the Kids Drum Sticks seemed to fit the bill.
The quality seems as good as any other Vic Firth stick but these are much lighter and smaller. In fact, these are probably only for very young children, say 3-5. My eldest daughter is a large 6 year old and uses a normal 7a fine.
Oh, and the bright colour is nice too! Recommended.
