I use brushes more than I would sticks and I can safely say (having tried just about every brush on the market) that these are the best of em all. The hard plastic handle allows you to get tones on the rims that just aren't possible with the rubber ones, being retractable makes sure you don't end up with mangled up wires and the large triangle at the end allows you to get supper bright sounds on the brass. I used to gig in the Canaries 6 nights a week and I was going through brushes fast until I came across these ones, they really last and can take it if you're playing heavier stuff. I should probably not say on here which ones were the worst but suffice to say, these are what you want from a set of brushes.

great feel
Anonymous 29.01.2016
These brushes feel great, creating a nice soft textured sound to allow for great feel and more scope for adding subtle nuances. also sound nice on Hihats and Ride cymbal for a quiet sound.
They come in a cylindrical casing which is great when you're not using them they have a nice safe case to be kept in.
Can't think of any negative points to it, but its Vic Firth so as always great quality and consistency with their products.
If you want that vintage jazz brush sound there is no other that compares to these.

I have played these for a couple of years, and they are still in great shape!
They are probably a bit of a heavy-guage for most jazz players, but I needed that to get more sound from various drum heads (congas and mondo heads as well as regular coated snare).
These are good quality, and sound great. Jazz players may want to check the diameter as the handles are relatively large.

Good for practice
Anonymous 05.06.2016
These Vic Firth brushes are great for acoustics gigs and practice as they reduce the volume of your playability. They have a good grip with a nice white finish. The metal wires complement the sound of your cymbals and deliver a good sound on the snare drum. However, they don't sound the best on toms, but are still acceptional giving that they are jazz brushes. I recommend them for those who are looking to quieten down their volume.

Vic Firth Brush Up
Anonymous 15.10.2016
Yes nice brushes, lovely quality, will last for years. A nice large spread for plenty of head sweeping contact. The handles are a bit thick. They are a versatile brush. They have a nice weight to brush up on all my strokes and those cool sweep patterens.
