Lovely Amp.
ColinB 11.06.2013
Im very happy with this amp. It has two channels, normal and top boost, both have plenty of useable tones. I principally use the top boost channel, it produces beautiful clean tones with loads of clean headroom for a relatively small amp. The tremolo is nice, but maybe not the best tremolo i've heard, much the same with the reverb, nice, but not amazing, i tend to use these effects sparingly. The amp breaks up nicely when pushed and you can get amazing classic vox tones. It is perfect for classic rock or indie rock or blues, it is certainly not a high gain amp, though there is plenty of crunch available. The master volume and tone cut features are very useful for getting an overdriven sound and relatively low volumes. The amp is heavy though, even for a tube amp and i would not like to have to lug it around for gigs. Certainly an amazing ampf for home/practice/ recording and smalll gigs.

Very good amp for one sound
KAFD 18.12.2018
This is a very good amp, has lots of clarity and you can definitely get some good sounds out of it.
The downside is that you can also get some bad sounds out of it, it's easy to get really thin sound if you're not careful with tone controls. Also, it's almost impossible to get rid of specific "chime", which can be desired but limits possible uses of this amp.
Overall a good amp if you're into this specific kind of tone but I'll only give it a "4" since I believe you can get better quality for this kind of price.

Classic Amp, Classic Tones
Anonymous 06.04.2017
I was on a budget and wanted a classic ?British?sounding amplifier. This just beats everything hands down. You can have the classic Vox chime or a fatter bluesier overdrive all at a sensible volume....don?t get me wrong it is more than capable of handling a pub gig and as a blues/classic 60s/70s type of player, I don?t need clean headroom. I did swap the Chinese tubes for JJs and that made a big difference. The only drawbacks for me are the absence of an effects loop and the reverb tank has never worked on my amplifier, so I bought a ?verb pedal that would sound better in a loop but never mind! All in all very pleased.

Been with me for two years now .. no problem at all ..
Sound very good at least for my ear .. I set it for clean sound and its great ..
Mostly on Top Boost channel ..
Price is great for such a famous amp ...
Yet when carrying it, need proper handling since it is quite heavy ..
