Not bad.
Gain_Badger 01.03.2015
Not brilliant either, but not bad. Run from a PSU rather than battery, there is less 'tone suck', but suck tone it still does. Sensitive to location in the pedal chain. Before OD/Dist/Boost and it sounds a little flat, after, it can overpower in the treble range on all my amps.
To alter the 'range' of the sweep, merely alter where in the pot the sweep occurs. Simple instructions are readily available, but in short, jiggle the rack position on the pinion. Easy job and reversible.
Activation whilst standing is easy. Sitting down to play, less so. At least it can't easily be switched in and out, it does require some pressure.
Sturdy case/treadle construction. No worries about being heavy footed, it'll cope. Easy to modify.
For an occaisional wah user, this'll do. For someone who wants to wah a lot, there are many better options out there. Still, it is inexpensive and does the job quite well after the sweep range tweak.
Dropped a mark as it is now noisy. Servisol to the rescue, but the pot is already crackly to the point of annoyance as I'm use a fair bit of wah now.

Pretty Good
Anonymous 08.03.2017
My first wah pedal ever. Not as great as i expected, but it does the job. It has a good sounding wah effect and it works well together with distortion.

However, it changes the tone drastically even when not activated, and I totally don't like that. It also has a very "sensitive" area around input and output ports and it makes a loud noise when you tap on them.

All in all, I would recommend this pedal, it is cheaper than most, but I have not tried others. This is a good buy to get started on learning how to use the wah and expanding your pedal collection! :)

Vox V845 Wah

This is my first Wah pedal and I love it. There was a small problem but it can be solved very easily.

This wah has no knobs or anything like that, you cannot adjust the tone of it but you dont need to, it sounds perfect the way it is. I mainly use it to get a Kirk Hammett-like wah tone for my guitar solos but you can also use it to get a nice funky clean tone or anything.

The problem I had with this wah is that the potentiometer inside the pedal is completely exposed, there's almost nothing that would cover it up so dust can get into it and if it does it will make a scratchy sound every time you use the pedal.
I used some WD40 to clean the potentiometer and I completely covered it up with lots of tape. Now the scratchy noise is completely gone and the pedal works perfectly. Other than that this pedal is perfect.

SK
I really like it!
Simas Kavaliauskas 10.05.2021
Personally, this is my first wah pedal, and honestly I don't use wah a lot. But when i do, I really like the sound of the one I have.
Pros:
1) Sounds good and clean.
2) Handled with care.

Cons:
1) If you use a high-gain distorion, like I do, you might experience a breaking point with it. It just happens to be that when you lean in on the wah with distortion really slowly, there's one part, where it just skips a lot ot the wah range.
2) If it matters, It's big.

Even with the one bigger downfall of it, I don't really feel as if i feel out of love with it. As I said, I use it rarely, but when I do - It delivers.

NB
Just perfect...
Nuno B. 20.10.2014
Our guitar player was looking for a decent wah pedal after a couple of frustrating experiences w/ cheap, low end models?
This one packs all the features you might need for an occasional use - i can only imagine needing more if you are a heavy duty wah user
Feels solidly built, has worked like a charm so far, nice feel under your foot & all that at a reasonable price point !
Yup, my kind of stuff...

Decent!

If you are looking for a cheap wah pedal this is for you. Can2t say it is amazing, but it does give you a really good sound for the price. Overall for the first wah it's the best choice.

L
Very average wah pedal!
Liam7204 04.01.2015
I wasn't particularly impressed after buying this wah pedal!..

Handling:The rubber feet on the bottom fell off after 3 gigs, I wasn't impressed with that at alll!

Features: Can't complain really! It's a wah pedal, it does exactly what it says on the tin really

Sound: I wasn't a very big fan of the sound! All of the scoop is in the toe end of the pedal and when you go lower than that with your foot it's just all bass! It also rally degrades your signal path when it's in your chain even when it's switched off! there's a clear drop in high end which i really don't like!

Good as a beginner wah pedal! I will have to upgrade this though soon!

Vox V845

My first impression when the Vox arrived is that it feels a little cheaper. It doesn't feel as sturdy as the Dunlop Crybaby GCB95 (I've owned one a while ago, so the comparison is inevitable), but let's be honest: the Vox costs 58 euros vs 88 from the Crybaby. You get what you pay for.

Soundwise, though, in my opinion, this doesn't leave anything to desire compared to the Crybaby. Of course it's a matter of taste, but I think the Vox sound fits more to my taste.

Since the wah-wah is not my main sound, I didn't bother spending more on the Vox V847, for example. If you use it a lot, maybe you want to try the V847.

All in all, I like it and intend to keep it.
