Original Warwick straplock. Works well. But I got a shock the other time. While playing live, the straplock had inched its way out of the socket and could have fallen out. Not as secure as I was led to believe. Also heavy, and if you're not careful with your strap removal, the heavy metal lump will hit and ding your wood finish.
After I found the strap coming out while playing live, I checked all 3 of my Warwick straplocks for the same issue and realise that as they wear, it will become increasingly easy for the straplocks to be able to come off while locked in place. Also, it is heavy compared to other straplock methods.
For this reason of instrument security while playing live, I have decided to go back to the humble rubber/silicone strapblocks. Cheaper, lighter, and not able to be yanked off, unlike these ones.
