Interesting idea but doesn’t really work in reality. Your string at the tailpiece will be elevated about 1.5mm because of the nut in the fine adjuster. Tiny 1.5mm but it makes a huge difference on looks, sound and tuning.
In general, I believe keeping distance between a bridge and a tailpiece only brings benefits in violin’s tone. But not this way.
