Xsonic Xtone Interface/Foot Control

Brought mainly to use my iPad live to gig with went with this because of the ground lift it’s needed at some venues for that buzz 🐝

Not managed to gig yet but at home it’s just so reliable and great to use
Zero latency and sounds Fab
Stereo out and balanced out all the out puts I need
I nearly went for its big brother the Xtone Pro for the extra buttons
But glad I didn’t now as I use this with my Irig BlueBoard to change my patches and bring effects in and out via midi
It’s A very good piece of equipment for the money
I gave the features a 4 star for the only reason when you use a button to switch the light stays on it doesn’t go out when you switch the effect off
It goes off when you hit another button then that button stays on lol hope that makes sense
But still over the moon with this interface highly recommended 😎

After plugging into the Xsonic Xtone the sound quality is great and as an interface works perfect. Next I tried to connect with midi function to Bias Fx, amplitude and a looper and none would recognise the midi input. I tried everything in the manual and on YouTube. I also did a live chat with bias fx and changed some options and setting but it still would not recognise the inputs or control them. When I connected the a laptop to try and see if I could up date or fix the issues it would not install the drivers so think there maybe an issue with the unit it had.

So as an interface great and I’m sure the midi would have work too but after spending all Saturday trying everything possible I’m at the point where the midi setting just won’t work no matter what software or hardware I am using. I would have tried a replacement unit but they showing 6-8 weeks and it took a week to arrive so it’s up tom9 weeks without being able to play guitar so disappointing.

I use this pedal with Bias FX as my 'compact' bass pedal rig when I don't want to take my main pedal board. This just slips in the top pocket of my gig bag and i've got access to decent enough compression, overdrives, octave etc with only my phone. It takes it's power from the phone itself (although does have a splitter to take USB power at the same time) and i've used this for hours with no real apparent hit to phone battery life. Latency seems pretty much non-existent using an iPhone 11 Pro. The midi switches program easily within Bias FX - I have bank A (green) set up to switch on and off individual pedals in each chain, Bank B (red) set up to toggle up and down patches and the turn on and off the tuner, and Bank C (blue) to toggle up and down banks (and the tuner again). Built quality seems pretty bulletproof. All in all does exactly what I was looking for!
