The complete Hex rack system is a solid build. Very stable and superb quality. Wherever you set your pieces, thats where they will stay. My only complaint is that the chrome is matte. Not polished like the tom tom arms and cymbal holders matching the rest of my hardware finish. I eventually stripped the complete rack down to its very last bolt and nut, and got everything brush-polished at a chrome/gold plating company. It would be nice if Yamaha made them shiny, in the first place, so they match with all common hardware.
