I bought an inexpensive saxophone on which to learn to play. Almost all reviews on the web said that the mouthpieces were not good and a decent mouthpiece was essential. This was the highly recommended replacement. After playing for a year or so I can't say that it made much difference to me - I could have saved myself ¤30. I am unable to take away any stars for sound, response etc. as I'm not experienced enough to give an expert opinion.

Better than the stock mouthpiece on cheap horns
lazarov 26.01.2019
The mouthpiece is definitely better than the stock mouthpieces on low-budget horns.
I found it a bit muddy on the high notes and the lows (C, B, Bb) can be challenging for some. I upgraded to a Selmer S80 C* after that and I found it much better sounding on the highs and lows. The latter were a tad easier to play on the latter.
All opinions on mouthpieces are very individual and personal. I know people who praise that mouthpiece. It wasn't that suitable for me and my mouth features probably.

For beginners
Kostas Saxophone 04.12.2020
You just started playing and don't know if you continue?
Why go out and spend tons of bucks on a high end mouthpiece when this one can get you all the way to mid level easily.
The mouthpieces provided with the beginner instruments are usually good as a doorstop. Don't even bother using those.
This one is the ultimate beginners mouthpiece.
Later you can upgrade to whatever is recommended by your teacher.

Pretty good!
ac.adm 13.02.2019
This is a nice mouthpiece, the quality is much better than the one comes with your cheaper saxophone so I would definitely recommend it if you are just started to play or considering buying a sax. I'm satisfied with the sound it makes however I'm far not a professional player but it's good for my ears, definitely good for practice.

Excellent Mouthpiece, Low Price!
Anonymous 07.09.2016
This mouthpiece is excellent for playing the alto saxophone, and it can be used by beginners and experts as well.
This item comes at a very low price but offers an excellent sound in all registers. Not only that, but it is well built and if maintained well, it can last for years of use!

Great for beginners
Paul014 05.12.2013
Comfortable beginners mouthpiece in accurate hard wearing plastic. It has a square chamber and a nice wide table for the reed to sit on. Sounds good too, but spend more if you want better dynamic control and use a fabric ligature. Smooth bore can slip on the cork. Very good value.
