I am a beginner and find this instrument perfect for learning.

- Incredible value for money.

Lots of choice in colours.
I'm absolutely satisfied and I'm glad I spent slightly more for this bass instead of choosing the cheapest model on the market.

My first Yamaha bass, and extremely satisfied with the look, the feel but most of all the sound.

This is one of Yamaha's cheaper basses but don't be mislead, it's japanese makers have put quality first in this 'budget' bass guitar.

Great quality bridges, beautiful soft feel on the neck and fantastic humbucker pickups. Simple electronics make it easy to use. It is lighter than my other bass guitar which makes it easy for even younger bassists to pick it up and play.

What I love the most is how you can easily slide all the way to the highest frets due to where the neck is fixed on the bass.

Overall this is a great precision bass for anyone looking to start or anyone on a budget looking for a decent electric guitar. Definitely not my last Yamaha bass!

It does what it is supposed to do. It is very good bass guitar, nothing fancy or flashy, nothing extra in terms of controls and electrics but gets the job done.
It came set up good, I only needed to tune it and it was ready to play. I would highly recommend it for begginers (I would choose this for my first bass if I had to start again), but still, as a professional musician, I would not be afraid to take it to a gig. It is also pretty lightweight compared to other bass guitars I played so that's some bonus points.
