Dieses Lehrwerk ist speziell auf Jazz Bassisten ausgerichtet. Es setzt Notenkenntnisse voraus, enthält keine Tabs und ist in englischer Sprache verfasst. Es ist gleichermaßen für Kontrabass und E-Bass geeignet, Ziel ist das Erarbeiten des Walking Line Spiels durch Training, aber auch durch Vergleich der Basslinien großer Jazz Bassisten. Da ich bereits Cello spiele, ist es für mich die ideale Ergänzung, um mich mit dem Zweitinstrument Bass und gleichzeitig mit Jazz und Improvisation auseinander zu setzen. Da die Spieltechnik (Fingersätze, Lagenwechsel und rechte Hand) nicht behandelt wird, empfiehlt sich die zusätzliche Nutzung einer Bassschule.
