Wer also die Tasche umhängen will, die Snare per Rad transportiert o.ä., muss etwas anderes kaufen. Ansonsten sehr gut.

Nice, but could offer more point impact protection
Anonymous 28.05.2016
I needed a bag for my new Yamaha 13x6.5 snare and got this, because I liked the look of the white "fur" inside :)

The bag is obviously strong and well made, although I would like more the actual padding (it's not very thick - some of its function is taken over by the synthetic fur) and I would definitely like more stiffness.

My favorite Gewa SPS series, which I have for my drumset, my bongos and my cajon, feature thin, fiberglass plates sown into the bag which almost makes them like hard case minus the weight and cost of actual hard cases. The Ahead Armor Cases are quite soft and floppy, so if a bag like that came into a rapid contact with something pointy and hard, such as a door knob, the pressure on the drum wouldn't get spread over a large area, it would still receive almost a point impact.

PROS: well made, quality materials, very nice synthetic fur inside, looks expensive.

CONS:
1. a bit too thin padding, much too soft padding - a good bag should be a combination of soft materials (to protect from overall shocks to the instrument like dropping the bag) and some really hard layer (to protect from impacts by narrow or pointed objects.
2. The teardrop shape works great for toms, but for snare drums it means the strainer is pointing at the handle, which places the butt plate at the bottom of the bag when you put it down on the ground. Not very safe.
