A little flimpsy
Robert269 23.08.2020
I bought this because of the small size and portability to put a portable recording device on to record such things as my choir.

It gets the job done but it is a little flimpsy and definately not what you could call heavy duty. As long as you don't really put it to the test but handle it carefully it will probably hold up for a long time. If you need it to handle some abuse or if you don't need a stand as compact as this one you should look elsewhere. There are sturdier stands for less money.

On it's own it isn't all that high, but if you get the boom as well you get somewhat better reach.

So, all in all, it's quite nice but be aware that it isn't exactly built as a tank

Perfect Travel Companion
Matt R 05.10.2018
This is my back up mic stand but is the one I took with me when I did a train tour of Europe busking. I had it strapped to my trolley and it fitted perfectly across my luggage without sticking out.

It packs up really small with a lot of little plastic headed screw bolts. I also bought the mic stand boom that goes with it.

Surprisingly, it is really stable and quite rugged. It has travelled over 5000 miles with me! I was really surprised at the quality whilst being a bit hesitant at the price of it.

One thing, the bottom screw has been lost on occasion and I have had to improvise a new nut and bolt to keep the bottom on. That would be my only major criticism. It is very easy to loose the screws that keep everything in place. So be aware of that. It is not as stable as a big mic stand as you would expect.

As a gigging mic, good for travel but maybe not for venues or big stages. Great for a busker, great for a small space perhaps or someone who needs to save on space. Overall, awesome though.

Very useful and handy but very low quality of components, namely all the screws and screw threads, for a high price
