It's a good compromise for a fast drop tuning but stability is not as good.
If you don't owe more than one Floyd guitar, where you can swap according to tuning this is a good alternative but don't expect to get the same tuning stability.
I'd suggest to use threadlocker (Loctice 2400 medium / 222 low) on the small screw, given that every time it's on drop tuning, with the vibrations it moves ever so slightly that it's easy to get out of tune.
Threadlocker helps make it harder to move and it becomes a bit more stable but does no miracle.
