Not sure about quality, but decent for the price.

First off, the installation of this was not a fun process - with instructions so terse they border on the cryptic. (Their website offers little by way of videos on this, and there is practically nothing of value on YouTube.)

My reservations about this product may be due to its stiffness and some poor stitching in places (which does not make me feel confident about its robustness).

Once set up though, it's a sizeable product though it mounts nicely onto my Amaran 100d, but I can see me not touching this much (i.e. dismantling sparingly). It doesn't add so much weight that it imbalances my light stand, despite its hefty depth.

Vorteile:

1. Schneller aufzubauen als ein Lightdome. Es müssen nur vier Stäbe in den Ring gesteckt werden.

2. Rechteckige Reflektionen wirken in Innenräumen natürlicher als runde, da sie ein Fenster sein könnten.

3. Transportgröße ist kleiner als bei Lightdomes.

Nachteile:

1. Die Softbox ist nicht sehr tief. Daher muss ein zweiter Diffusor eingehängt werden (enthalten). Dies nimmt etwas Licht und benötigt etwas mehr Zeit beim Auf- und Abbau.

2. Rechteckige Reflektionen wirken unnatürlich in Außenbereichen.

3. 60cm ist grenzwertig klein für einen Diffusor. Man muss sich daher aussuchen, ob man horizontal oder vertikal weiches Licht will. In Situationen, in denen man einen ganzen (Ober-)Körper ausleuchten will und die Softbox vertikal nutzt, sind die horizontalen Schatten leider etwas hart.

not the best softbox, but does the job

- the bowens mount rotates inside the mounting ring and there is a knob which should fixate the rotation, but does not work well
- it's not too easy to put the sticks into the ring, they also constantly fall out of the corners of the box when disassembled
- the grid's side rows/columns are for some reason slightly wider than the rest, making it spill the light a bit sideways
- full diffusion fabric seems to lower CCT a bit, but difuses well
- half diffusion fabric is ok
- mounting of the additional small inside diffuser fabric is annoying

overall ok for the money, ordered second one

Bedre forarbejdning ønskes Better processing is desired

Det er det første produkt jeg har haft lyst til at sende retur. Svær montage, en af stropperne er gået I stykker, men til studiebrug er det ikke noget problem. En bedre forarbejdning og flere stropper vil være ønskelige. Lettere montage og adskillelse.

This is the first product I have wanted to send back. Difficult assembly, one of the straps is broken, but for studio use it's no problem. Better processing and more straps would be desirable. Easier assembly and disassembly.
