I wanted to try this drum head because many heavy hitting drummers used it in the 90's (Dave Grohl). This head is a monster, it never broke, I only changed it after almost a year 'cause I wanted to experiment with different tuning/sound! It complimented really well my Tama Starclassic Bubinga 14''x8'' snare, sounded muffled enough but not dead with few overtones. I tried many different tunings but this head worked better in high to medium tunings. Highly recommended to heavy hitters and budget drummers.

Beefy as ****
reklawxela 12.01.2018
I use this amazing snare head on my tama soundlab 14 x 7 birch bubinga snare and it?s just so deep and crisp. Almost as perfect as Ash Soan?s overdubbed deep snare sound. Simply beefy as ****. It?s also very durable and after 3 months of constant use, still is in top condition. Can?t think of any negatives!

Found a tuning that I like and the snare sounds better. Will try a different head next however, this one has grown on me.

The Nirvana era Dave Grohl snare head
geertteekens 03.05.2021
Absolutely on of the strongest snare heads out there. Sounds a bit muffled because of all the layers but it's hard to dent. I can understand why Nirvana's drum tech put this on Dave Grohls snare drums.
