This seems like a very well-precrafted bridge but it comes at a price of course. The feet have an incredibly perfect fit (on a strad model) straight from the factory. Using a number of careful trimming and/or sanding methods, I was unable to custom finish a blank making it fit any better, on the contrary. However, it would still have needed shortening as well as other finishing, so I ended up making my own bridge out of blanks, eventually. This is a bit the confusing part of it: if you're able to adapt it then you'll probably be able to make one from scratch too, given enough practice. But again, if you want to skip most of the process and just trim the height, then this bridge would be for you. Be careful to check the prepressed string distance marks match your violin! Mine was 33-34mm but this bridge had other string distance marks.
