I use this mic in live applications on both big and small stages. It is very similar to OM7 but with quite a bit more output so you don't have to use too much gain which is good if you work on mixing desks that have "not-so-good" preamps or old multicore snakes that have a lot of noise and you will like to keep as much detail on your vocal as possible. Although it has more output than OM7 it will not distort on loud vocals. The sound from this microphone is very good. It gives you a lot of smooth details on high end that condenser mics do. The low end is much less "boomy" than on SM58 we all use as benchmark. It is not perfectly linear so it will require some EQing (especially on low-mid range) to get the sound you want but that could be said for all mics in general. The proximity effect is very good controlled so your low end will not change that much with singers that move a lot. No handling noise whatsoever. As OM7 this OM6 mic is also very resistant to feedback so you can push the monitors quite hard with it. It also picks up much less ambient noise so it is perfect for loud stages. I've been using it for 4 years now and it still works as new although it has hit the floor on more than one occasion. The grill is also very resistant to impact but it might loose some colour with time if you rub-clean it as often as I do. Great mic for live sound.

Very good mic

I'm totally happy with this microphone!
I used it for many purposes - live and in my home studio. Mainly for vocals, but also played my recorder, ukulele and accordion through it. Everything sounds good.
The mic is well-built and looks nice.
Even on the stage of Philarmonia I used this mic instead of the ones that were there, and it sounded better than other mics which are probably more expensive.

Audixs are great

Great brand. World class bands has used these for their live performances. There are some mics that can stand in comparision to this one, including Shure sm58, Shure beta58, the Se electronics V7. They are all great, but I would try them all out before choosing the one that matches your soul the most cause they are so good but also quite different in sound.
I have tried OM6 myself and it produced a great sound.

Brilliant

Nichts! Kein Pfeifen oder Brummen. Das war bei dem SM58 nicht so...
Ich kann das OM6 daher uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen.
