Works like a charm
lerxtdude 26.05.2020
In my home recording setup I am using a laptop, connected via USB to an external sound card, which in turn is connected to a set of nearfield speakers. After upgrading my laptop I started experiencing disturbing noisy/crackling sounds on the speakers (but not on the headphones), even without audio playing.

As it turns out, this was caused by a ground loop, from both the laptop power supply and the nearfield speakers having grounded power cords.

After doing some online research I came across the Behringer HD400. It is now installed in-between the soundcard output and the nearfield speakers, and with this, the ground loop problem is completely eliminated. I am very pleased with this result.

The Behringer HD400 is compact, relatively cheap, and does exactly what it advertises: eliminate hum and break ground loops. The housing looks solid.

As always, the Thomann service was great, with prompt shipment and very fast delivery to the Netherlands.

A studio saver!
tomatoKetchup 24.11.2017
Weirdly enough, there doesn't seem to be any other similar devices around. As always when I buy Behringer I am skeptical until I plug the thing in and see what comes out... I have to say for this little black box I couldn't be more delighted!

It just does what it says on the tin: my Moog Minitaur/Roland JU-06/JP-08, all usb-ed on my computer do not make any ground loop noise anymore. And, contrary to what I read on other reviews, I cannot hear any volume drop and the sound is absolutely not affected at all! On top of that the chassis is made of sturdy metal, and after dropping one a few times, there wasn't a scratch on it.

At that price it's just unbeatable... maybe that's why other companies don't even bother making their own versions!

Eliminates GPU coil whine in speakers
robertiagar 02.04.2021
I bought this because I had massive coil whine in my PC Speaker caused by the GPU. After I introduced this between my PC DAC and my Speakers the coil whine went away. Solid 10/10, does the job and it's a pretty affordable solution.

G
Beseitigt Brummen, aber auch jeglichen Bass
G3CD  23.01.2022
