I needed to get a replacement mini-XLR cable for my AKG K712 and chose this over the stock AKG cable, since other reviews suggested it's sturdier.
I'm glad to confirm they're correct. The cable is strong and its coating can take scratches and pinches well. It's just a little bit less flexible than the stock AKG cable, but that should hopefully also mean it's less prone to bending at the plugs, which is where my original cable broke.
The connectors, including the 6.3mm adapter look well-made and are easy to handle. It matches the mini-XLR plug of my AKG headphones, in case someone wonders.
The only thing that took me by surprise, is that it's possibly the worst-smelling cable I've had to date. That smell, which I can only describe as chemical-industrial manure, fortunately has been wearing off quite fast. Just a little warning for the sensitive noses out there - use some perfume on your neck to ignore the smell for the 1st week, or increase ventilation. : )
