Excellent Microphone for live and recording

I have 3 of these microphones and they are the core of my set. I used them to record an album with drum toms and the underside of the snare. I use them live as well for producing bands and recording the drums, cellos and a saxophone. The audio quality for the price is superb, having used lots of different microphones over the years i am really impressed.

The big disadvantage with the microphones is the size with the drum clamp on smaller toms they are just a little bit too bit and some drummers have found it difficult to play around the microphone. It is a minor disadvantage that means sometimes it is better to use a boom stand rather than the drum clips.

Summary:
Great mic awesome audio response and great build quality. Love the clip it fits onto every drum rim. Price is very good.
Just a little bit too bit for some smaller drums but you can get around that.

I really rate this microphone for a multitude of functions.

I wanted the cheapest Beyerdynamic mic to use it only as a bottom snare mic to capture the snares buz. I did low cut to 400 hz and slight high shelf above 8 Khz. I haven't use it for anything else so I cann't compare it to any other mic. It's made in China, if that's a problem for someone.

Initially bought the 3 pack, loved them so much I bought 2 more!
Clips are IDEAL for any drum hoops, springs are strong.
Super-cardiod minimises bleed, freq. response is great, point at the centre of the drum and it's good to go!

Professionelles Tom-Mike zum fairen Preis

War mir nicht ganz schlüssig ob ich das Mikro an die Snare oder an die Toms klemme.
Nicht schlecht an der Snare, aber mein Sennheiser E604 kann dann noch ein bisschen feiner in den Mitten.

Jetzt hängt es am 16er Standtom und macht dort eine mehr als gute Figur. Selbst das tiefe Grollen nimmt es sauber ab.
Schalldrücke, die das Mikro ernsthaft in Schwierigkeiten bringen könnte, dürften im Normalfall auch kaum erreichbar sein.
Absolut bühnentauglich.

Praktisch ist die Klemmung. Da ich auch mal für die Abnahme von Percussion ein Mikro brauche, kommt mir diese sehr gelegen. Ob Conga oder selbst ein Cajon: die Klemme hält überall und man spart sich Mikroständer.

Verarbeitung ist wie bei allen Beyerdynamic Produkten klasse. Selbst Sticktreffer dürften dem robustem Gehäuse wenig ausmachen. Absolut roadtauglich.

Wer ein professionelles Tom-Mike braucht, das haltbar ist und nicht mal 100? kostet sollte zuschlagen.
Es gibt auch einen Dreiersatz, bei dem man noch ein paar Euros einspart.
