Wasn't great with a les paul...
Philip17 05.01.2016
I bought this for my les paul and i will be taking it off when i get a chance. I'm not an expert but i think the string break angle is too much and the strings don't move through the saddles as they would on a 335 type guitar for example.
Tuning is very unstable and i was not being over the top with it. I'm not a floyd rose player who expects to be able to dive bomb and i appreciate that the bigsby is a subtle vibrato. Impossible to use at a gig without having to tune up between every song.
I bought a schaller roller bridge but this did not improve things greatly. The strings no longer hit the back of the bridge but it doesn't make a great difference.
Also the arm on my bigsby kept loosening and i had to tighten the nut quite regularly.
Bigsbys have been around a lot longer than i have and have been used on Les Pauls a lot so perhaps it was just my personal bad experience.

A must-have for any guitar
Daniel3332 07.05.2014
I'm a bit of a Bigsby fan and add them to all my guitars so long as they fit the body shape.

This is an original USA Bigsby B7, not the licensed B70, and although I'd struggle to tell them apart on quality of manufacture and materials, there is something cool about the genuine USA Bigsby with its patent number that just oozes classic guitar cool.

Guitar just look more sexy with a Bigsby
Anonymous 16.02.2017
I put one on my 1981 Gibson ES345, some drilling, never regret. Now putting one on my R6 Les Paul VOS, but with the vibramate kit. Personally I think it adds more definition on the high frequencies, works particularly good with Gibson's guitar. Huge Neil Young and Alan Sparhawk(Low) fan, wanted to have a P90 LP with Bigsby for a long time, now I'm happy.

Not that I use it a lot, but I can?t miss a vibrato. So, I had to install something on my Gibson Les Paul standard HP 2016. When used together with the Vibramate V7 mountain kit, installation is easy (with a little help of YouTube), and the result is great, both sound and looks!
