The Seydel Session Steel is a fantastic harmonica. It is responsive, expressive, and delivers a clear balanced sound. The plastic comb is airtight, and very smooth to play. The full-length covers are comfortable to hold, and enable a tight seal in your hand.
The steel reeds stay in tune much longer that brass reeds, in my experience, and require less maintenance. The reeds do not corrode or rust, so its is no problem to rinse the instrument under running water.
The key of B is has a nice sound, falling between the commonly used keys of A and C. It provides a nice bluesy sound, and I enjoy it for practicing scales and just noodling around. It gets some use in my gig bag, playing 2nd position in F# and 3rd position in Db. This is especially useful when accompanying a guitarist who tunes down a 1/2 step.
Excellent quality. Made in Germany.
