Prophet's next generation
Aaron Sim 06.08.2018
Build quality is solid metal and knobs are firm. Love that every knob controls a parameter and it is super easy to map mod/lfo to a destination.
DSI is also constantly listening to feedback from users and enable features where possible. There are a few bugs in the software but nothing serious that will affect your enjoyment with this baby as the support team is fixing them all the time.
Price point is unbelievable too, who could have known that you could own a Prophet at such a price. Sure the Rev2 uses DCOs and not VCOs like the P6, this becomes negligible when you use external effects e.g. pedal or software plugin to mix layers together.
High recommend this if you are looking to expand your arsenal with a Prophet!

Sound design monster
RicSef 03.02.2019
Loving this synth. Sound design is a pleasure with so many parameters accessible via front panel. I just wish I had more hands.

Sound is great and palette is wide with many modulation possibilities.
It has this sizzly-hissy character when filter is open though.

Built quality could be better. My unit has 3 knobs that are very wobbly compared to others. They respond Ok, looks like it's a design or assembly flaw. It feels like knobs would not survive a single drop, but unit itself feels heavy and well build.

And it looks just beautiful.

A real 'go to'synth

Having owned SCI synths back in the '80s I find the Rev2 very familiar...Haven't even needed to refer to the manual yet!
A great synth for inspiring ideas.
