DPA 2028-B-SE2

We are totally amazed by this microphone!

It is very clear, has a linear spectrum, low noise level, it just sounds fantastic.
We are very happy with deep sub base frequencies, as well as high and super fine sounds.
We tried it for vocals as well as for instrument (cymbals in our case). The michrophone seems to work really well both for vocals and for instruments.

We have had no feedback issues whatsoever with this capsule, even when pointing the microphone (with a high gain) straight towards speakers, in a very big concrete room.

Special with this microphone is also that you can grab it high up, cover parts of the mic, and it gives no feedback.
(we tried the same with the Sennheiser MMK 965 - 1BK, it was feedbacking immediately).

The dpa is also much smaller and lighter, compared to the Sennheiser MMK 965. Which make sense to us, as we use it on a Wirelsess digital microphone handle, which already weights quite something.

+ with DPA, is that you always get nice cases, this capsule comes with a nice hard case.

I have a few Sennheiser EW100 Evolutions sets. I wanted to upgrade som microphone capsule. Now I own the Sennheiser MMD945 (dynamic). I thought of de Sennheiser MME 965 or the DPA 2020-B-SE2 (condensor). Because of the good reviews, I decided to order de DPA.

The reviews of DPA are right. Perfect building quality, it's weight is less than de 945 mics. It gives a very pleasant sound, brigher, more transparant, particularly in the low end of the voice. It gives that warm sound, without equalising. Nice is that even the mic is further away from the mouth, it still gives dat nice low. I love it !!

The only thing that should be considered is the amount of noise it brings compared with the 945. I tested it on Sennheiser SKM100 mics/Em100 receviers in de B en E band. No difference, same noise amoud. You should use a proper noice gate, to avoid this issue.

Still, I can recommend the capsule ! You won't regret !!

despues de tenerr varios micros y capsulas sm 58, beta 87, sennheiser 865, 945 necesitaba algo con potencia, y esta es la capsula me habian recomendado la ks9 pero magusta sennheiser asi que decidi probar, la primera impresion es rara porque tiene un exceso de medios, falta de costumbre de todas las demas capsulas coloreadas siempre en la parte de agudos, esta me gusto porque tiene una respuesta completamente plana, ademas de aguantar mucha presion sonora, tengo un dou de guitarra y voz y dos grupos uno mas pop y otro mas roquero, necesitaba algo que destacara la voz en bares pequeños con mucho ruido y este micro sobresale por encima de todo, com`parando con la 945 el dpa se oye mas es mas claro no acopla . me ha sorprendido.

Ich habe mein Sennheiser ew100-Funkmikrofon bereits mit 845, 865 oder 965er-Mikrofonkapseln betrieben, aber an den feinen und doch druckvollen Klang dieser DPA-Kapsel kommt wenig heran. Gut, ehrlich gesagt liegt sie auch preislich weit höher als die 800er Serie und etwas über der 965er, aber den Aufpreis ist sie definitiv wert. Mal sehen wie sie sich auf der "Langstrecke" schlägt, aber die ersten Auftritte damit machten mir große Freude.
