I've had a lot of kits made by the big guns over the last 50 years, but in later years I've preferred to seek out something less mainstream. I fell for the looks of these Drumcraft tubs instantly. The satin chrome hoops, lugs and mounts are super sexy. I've seen glossier finishes, at a totally different price point but they still look stunning. Nice touch with the unpainted inside of the bass drum hoops. The reason I've given 4 stars for sound is that I know there's more to be squeezed out with decent heads. I bought the whole kit in bits so I could get my desired configuration of 8", 10", 13", 16" and 18". I would have preferred a shorter kick drum, but that's a whole lot easier to fix than lengthening one!
