I bought them as a replacement for my Ludwig 20" bass drum, which had tiny spurs that didn't prevent it from slipping away while playing. The DW ones keep the drum in place and they also look great. Easily placed on the hoop and they don't seem to damage it at all. Note that you can only adjust them with a drum-key!

Great, bulky spurs
snurf 19.07.2019
Very good quality product, I use it on old marching drum converted to bass drum. It clamps to the drum hoop and holds steady. Has a good range of adjustable width which shall fit to standard hoop width. Due to vibrations you have to check the clamp from time to time. It has regulated hiding spike with rubber foot, for that "extra" grip when needed on surface. Drum is not moving when played. Spurs look bulky but are very well built.

these are simply great! no more drilling in old vintage bassdrums and they are sturdy as. Also, i can now mount it on the front or rear hoop and change the sound to my liking when using different heads in the studio. Engineers love it. Good job DW!
