I really like the pedal. 100 wet mix is possible. And the wet is really wet ! Not like some pedals where the dry signal always stays a little bit in the signal. Reverse reverb, hall, plate and spring: All the basic sounds en not too much. Long delay time (30 sec) for the plate gives enough ambient possibilities. Also on the other modes the decay is already long enough for ambient sounds.. The pedal has a good sound with a very own character. Clear enough, not too clear.
It is a digital reverb, but it sounds very organic. Partly because of the dry pass-through in the mix.
A predelay knob would have been nice extra to have more control over de reverse reverb. Now you have a gap before the reverse reverb falls in, if you want longer trails. EHX Oceans 11 has this for exemple. But that pedal has too much, I like the Grail more.
A tone knob would have been nice too too be able to get the reverb darker if you wanted too. Also Oceans 11 has this. A Holy Grail with tone knob and predelay, no secondary functions , just 4 reverb modes and maybe a simple mod knob would be a perfect pedal for me. More Cathedral than Oceans 11.
con : After one time playing it already broke. Thoman handled it very well and I got a new one quite fast.
