Wall of Fuzz.
Peace Frog 07.04.2022
This is my first Fuzz pedal and at first I thought there was something wrong with the pedal but then I discovered that at low volumes the pedal sounds horrible you really have to play it loud to let it shine. I plugged it in into my DSL1CR in front of the amp and it sounded horrible,I've tried effects loop and it was still the same then I've had an eureka moment and went from 0.1 watt setting to full 1 watt and the wall of fuzz smacked me in my face and I was a happy camper. These things are fiddly, you have to fiddle with settings both on the amp and the pedal to get the best results, what I do is I crank it all to eleven on the pedal and control the volume on the guitar as I like insanely fuzzed out sounds and it serves me well when I want to play some stoner stuff like HoF etc. You can go from slightly fuzzed sound to insanely fuzzed out,it's all there if you want it. It's small, well built, has great fuzz sounds and I'd recommend it no doubt.

Big Muff in a tiny package
Anonymous 20.09.2016
I had an original early 80s Big Muff, which I always enjoyed playing with. As anyone who owned the original can tell you, the original is housed in a hug casing with most of the inside empty apart from the battery compartment and a small board. Now this has been shrunk down to this pint-size version.

Frequency pickers might find slight differences between this unit and the original units, but in a band situation or in a mix recording you really cannot hear the difference. It takes up much less space on the pedal board, standard 9v power socket and a good healthy click to switch off and on.

I still have the same fun as I had with the original Big Muff, but in a much more user-friendly size.

Still in my view, Big Muff is the best fuzz you can buy and this gives you THE fuzz sound which you can pay a lot more for in other brands and still don't get the sound.

Highly recommended.

Great sound
Nickbwin 16.05.2019
I used to have a big muff, but i sold my big muff to a flatmate. Now muffless i had to search for a new big muff. But I didn’t have much muff space. This nano muff is the perfect fit, and for people like me who like their muffs to come in all shapes and sizes i am very pleased with the results. As the kind of guy who appreciates all muffs I cant favour one muff over another based just on size, but the same goes for the sound on this muff. It sounds just like a big muff to me. Looks wise this nano muff is styled just like the big muff and it works very well. It’s built great and i expect this muff to last. If you’re in the market for a muff I’d recommend the nano muff.

Good distortion pedal
Nigel H. 02.05.2017
I bought this unit as i wanted a distortion pedal to run sounds from my computer and from synths through it to process them and re-record.

I had a few issues with the first unit I got as it would power off a few seconds after the input cable was inserted and would die. Also, the threads on the screws for the battery compartment were bad on the first unit and i could not close it up afterwards. I sent it back to thomann and they supplied me with a replacement immediately. I was extra careful installing the battery on the new unit and in the end i would recommend using this with a powersupply as i keep forgetting to take out the input cable and the battery goes flat right away. Due to the bad design of the battery compartment i would not recommend opening and closing it each time the battery goes flat.

Other than that the unit is well built and very compact. The sound quality is great and the distortion produces a lot of different tones.

This is a good distortion pedal. its a shame they decided to put the battery compartment behind 4 screws.
